ABSTRACT
Bama Beach is one of the beaches in Indonesia that has a mangrove forest ecosystem. This mangrove forest aims to protect the waves coming from the deep sea to the shallow sea that can cause abrasion. Bama Beach is located in Baluran National Park so it needs to be protected from damage that can be caused by waves with the concept of Building with Nature (BWN). Therefore, wave reduction modeling of mangrove forest length was carried out with the help of Delft3D software. This modeling is carried out by creating two mangrove forest schemes to determine the energy value and significant wave height. The results of the highest significant wave modeling occurred on August 15, 2023 at 18.00 WIB. The longest mangrove forest, which is 130 meters, in the first scheme can reduce up to 35.12% of wave height and 68.29% of wave energy. The second scheme can reduce up to 37.18% of the wave height and 70.27% of the wave energy.
