ABSTRACT

Today's transportation activities have very complex problems. Ranging from traffic jams to accidents that can result in injury to loss of life. This is due to several violations of vehicles being driven on the road. One of the violations commonly encountered on the road is the dimension of the vehicle that exceeds the threshold. Therefore, the researcher intends to design an application for determining the dimensions of a special android- based tourism bus vehicle that is easy to use. This application aims to facilitate the authorities in determining whether the tourism bus includes excess dimensions or not. Method used is the waterfall system method with a sequential software flow approach. Results of this study show that the application design is in accordance with the design objectives and is expected to be a recommendation in reducing the number of congestion and accidents due to excessive dimensions of tourism buses.
