ABSTRACT
Baturinggit Village experiences drought, especially in the dry season, so it experiences a shortage of water for daily life. In general, when people in Baturinggit Village obtain water, they buy raw water sources in urban areas. In addition, the limited sources of raw water are caused by the lack of water supply that residents receive from the PDAM. This study uses the water balance method by simulating the need for water with the amount of rainwater at the location. In order to determine regional average rainfall, the algebraic mean method is used. Rainfall data consistency is tested using the RAPS method. Frequency analysis was conducted using the Pearson Log Type III method, by determining hourly rainfall at the 5- year return period. Calculating water needs was done using the Indonesian National Standard according to the number of residents in the area. The 5 year return period with the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th hour rain distribution has a discharge of 0.005 m3/sec, 0.002 m3/sec, 0.002 m3/sec, 0.001 m3/sec. The communal rainwater tank is planned with dimensions of 12 meters in length, 9 meters in width, and 1.2 meters in depth. The type of pipe used for gutters uses PVC pipe with a size of 3 dim in each house with the largest flow velocity in the pipe of 1.5 m/s. The maximum time for filling communal rainwater tanks is 184 hours.
